🏀 Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers
Two of the all-time greats face off tonight as we are quickly approaching the end of the regular season. Both four time NBA Champs, LeBron James and Steph Curry have experienced their fair share of adversity this year as their teams are fighting for a spot in the playoffs.
The Lakers (currently in 9th) are 3 games back from an automatic playoff bid. They’re capping off a tough stretch of games where they’ve won three of their last five against powerhouse teams like the Bucks, Timberwolves and Thunder.
The Warriors (currently in 10th) are also lined up for a playoff play-in game right now as they are four games back from an automatic playoff bid. They’ve dropped two of their last three with Steph on the sideline nursing an ankle injury. However, he is expected to be cleared for tonight’s game.
Both of these teams have been disappointing this season, but the Lakers seem like they have another gear that the Warriors don’t have right now. Expect Los Angeles (1.73) to play a physical game and try to bully the smaller Warriors (2.26) team. The Lakers should win this one at home.
🏒 Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Florida Panthers
The Florida Panthers (1.59) host their division rival, the Tampa Bay Lightning (2.51) tonight in the Battle of Florida. The Panthers are en route to another historic season, as they stand atop the league’s standings.
They had an active trade deadline last week, picking up star-veteran Vladimir Tarasenko as well as former Buffalo Sabres Captain, Kyle Okposo. These two additions should bring them the necessary depth to make yet another deep playoff run, after falling short in the Stanley Cup Finals last season.
On the other hand, the Tampa Bay Lightning are on the tail end of their dynasty roster, as they continue to fight for a Wild Card spot. The next few games will define if the Lightning have what it takes to make a playoff run. Captain Steven Stamkos is 34 years old and is in the final year of his eight-year $68 million contract.
Look for the Panthers to secure a win at home.
⚽️ Liverpool vs. Manchester United
Liverpool (1.8) travel to Old Trafford on Sunday for their FA Cup quarterfinal clash with Manchester United (4.1). Both teams are expecting players back from injury this week, including Wan-Bissaka, who Man U fans are hoping can make all the difference in picking up a win against their rivals.
The two teams faced off at Anfield earlier this season, which resulted in a 0-0 draw. On top of that, United have failed to score in six of their last nine meetings with Liverpool. Looks like it might be another low scoring game - we like the under 2.5 goals line (2.82).
Liverpool has been consistent in the FA cup over the last several years as they’ve won 17 out of their last 18 FA Cup Quarter Finals - we think they’ll advance again this year.
