New York kicks off a three game series at Fenway Park on Friday. The Yanks are currently 60-44, sitting in second place in the AL East. Boston are 4.5 games behind New York, sitting at third place in the division.

The United States take on New Zealand for their second Group A match at the Olympics. The Americans are coming off an opening round loss vs host nation France, while New Zealand took three points off their first round matchup vs Guinea.
Now Team USA almost certainly needs a win vs New Zealand to avoid possible elimination. On the other side, the Kiwis likely just need a point from this match to see themselves through. Though the US don’t have lofty expectations in this tournament, they do have a young, gritty squad which has shown fight in the past. We think USA fends off early elimination by beating New Zealand 2-0.
