⚾️ Red Sox @ Dodgers
The MLB resumes play today after an All Star Weekend that delivered another American League Victory. The Red Sox (2.16) return to Dodger Stadium for the first time since the 2018 World Series.
Boston, currently sitting in a wild card playoff spot, will look to continue their hot start in July, winning 7 of their last 10. The Dodgers (1.83) on the other hand, who are in 1st place in the NL West, have won just 3 of their last 10 and boast the MLB’s worst ERA in July.
Give us Ohtani and Betts in this one; the Dodgers are going to snap out of their funk post-ASG.
⚾️ Rays @ Yankess
Tampa (2.54) is heading north to New York (1.62) to kick off a 4-game series. This is these teams 10th meeting this season, with the Yankees having won five of the first nine.
Eflin will be on the mound for the Rays. He’s 5-6 on the year, with a 3.99 ERA. Opposite Eflin will be the Yankees’ Gerrit Cole who is just 2-1 on the year. Tampa is 21-21 in road games this season so we see this series being split. Though New York is the stronger team, give us the Rays to sneak away with a gritty win on Friday evening.
⚽️ Austin FC vs Charlotte FC
Austin FC (8-6-10) is hosting Charlotte FC (10-6-8) at the Q2 Stadium on Saturday night. Austin (2.6) is currently sitting in 10th place in the Western Conference, desperate for three points at home to stay in the playoff race. Austin is currently tied with Minnesota United FC for the final wild card spot.
Charlotte (2.72) is 6th in the Eastern Conference table, coming off a late rally to earn a point at Columbus last match. This Charlotte team is rolling and has their eyes on a deep playoff run. Tactically, they’ll have a field day against Austin’s lack of discipline. Give us Charlotte for a comfortable win at Austin.
